The New Star series competition will be held for the second time for young skaters.

New Winter Star 2016 will include the following age categories for boys and girls (there is no separately groups for girls and boys):
Beginners A 2011 and younger
Beginners B 2009/2010
Beginners C 2007/2008
Beginners D 2004/2005/2006
